Mariah answers phone after Nick reveals number on air
Some lucky callers may have gotten a chance to hear firsthand how superstar Mariah Carey's pregnancy with boy-girl twins is faring thanks to a faux pas made this morning by her husband, entertainer Nick Cannon. The couple may have to change the number on their land line after the first- and second-time father-to-be got so excited during an interview debuting "Cannon's Countdown" on 92.3 NOW radio in New York City.
"Think my wife will be mad at me? Lol. I don't care, I'm the man," he said in a series of tweets that followed the announcement. He added that he doesn't use the land line much. Carey and Cannon have allowed fans into their lives frequently over the past couple of months with semi-nude magazine covers and peeks at "dem babies" nurseries in their homes on the East and West coasts.
Cannon released the phone number on purpose, warning listeners he was about to do something "dangerous". "I gave out the number because I will be going on paternity leave soon and I wanted to stay in contact with my listeners," he tweeted.
However, listeners probably took immediate advantage of Cannon's generosity, calling the home. When Cannon called the number himself while on the air, Carey, who's due May 14, picked up the line. "Just gave out my home phone number on air and my pregnant wife picked up the line. Oops," he tweeted. (Examiner)
