Silk throws baby shower for Nick Cannon, celeb to attend
Radio and television personality Nick Cannon is headed to Hauppuage to celebrate the birth of his twins at a baby shower held at Silk Ultra Lounge Thursday night. His wife, and the twins' mother, pop singer Mariah Carey, is not expected to be there.
"It's to congratulate him on the birth of his twins. It was quite a process with Carey trying to get pregnant. It was such a joy when their twins were born, " said Danielle Orsino, a spokeswoman for Silk Ultra Lounge. Carey gave birth to the twins, a girl the named Monroe and a boy they named Moroccan on April 30.
Orsino said the Hauppauge club's party will feature an open bar for the ladies, limited to three drinks, and a hot body contest, where the winner will walk away with an eight day vacation. Other highlights include giveaways and gift certificates from Pacific Tanning, which has locations in Selden and Rocky Point, and Tattoo Lou's. The doors will open at 10 p.m. (Patch)
