She taught the world that diamonds are a girl's best friend! Marilyn Monroe also had a lasting effect on Hollywood. The late icon, who would've turned 85 on Wednesday, has been emulated by stars like Madonna, Mariah Carey and Michelle Williams.
"I just feel a connection with Marilyn Monroe," the late Anna Nicole Smith said. "I just love her. I just completely feel what she went through." (Both women died of drug overdoses - Monroe at 36, Smith at 39.)
Megan Fox even paid tribute to the blonde bombshell with a tattoo on her right forearm. "I really admire Marilyn Monroe, but I would never try to emulate her," Fox said. "I got the tattoo as a warning. It warns me not to let myself be treated so badly by the film industry that it breaks me down."
Lindsay Lohan named her leggings line 6126 in honor of her icon's birthday: June 1, 1926. Mariah Carey even named her daughter Monroe in honor of the star.
