West End's respect La Diva to salute Mariah Carey
Respect La Diva, a musical salute to pop icons including Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Etta James, Shirley Bassey, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys and Dusty Springfield, will hit the West End's Garrick Theatre beginning September 7. Opening night is set for September 8 with the limited engagement concluding on September 24. Adrian Grant will direct.
Hosted by The X-Factor finalist Andy Abraham, Respect La Diva features singers Sheila Ferguson (The Three Degrees, Thoroughly Modern Millie), Denise Pearson (Five Star, Thriller Live), Katy Setterfield (The One & Only) and Zoe Birkett (Pop Idol, Priscilla Queen of the Desert).
The production will include set design from Jonathan Park, lighting design by Paul Moorhouse, sound design by Philip Cluskey and choreography by Racky Plews. (Broadway.com)
