Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey front Pepsi commercial
The late "King of Pop", Michael Jackson is featured in Pepsi's just announced "Music Icons" commercial campaign. Slated to premiere during The X Factor's season premiere Wednesday, the commercial highlights the beverage's past with everyone from Kanye West and Mariah Carey to Britney Spears and Ray Charles.
"The television spot celebrates Pepsi's rich music history, featuring global icons Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Kanye West,Ray Charles and Mariah Carey," PepsiCo confirmed Wednesday. "Music Icons" captures the essence of Pepsi and The X Factor's search for the next pop music star."
Featuring some of the best moments, from campaigns over the years, the ad ends with the question "Who's Next ?" - touting the winner of The X Factor USA. "Pepsi has always been at the center of music and pop culture and is known for featuring top talent in its campaigns," said Frank Cooper, Chief Marketing Officer, Global Consumer Engagement of PepsiCo Beverages.
