Mariah Carey tour and rehearsals?
Mariah Carey has indicated that she is preparing for a concert tour by sharing that she was
in rehearsals, but has not divulged any further information. "At rehearsals, having a good
time, can't wait to see you," wrote Carey on her Twitter account Sunday.|
The Grammy Award winner's hint has fans in a frenzy as they speculate when a tour could begin.
Carey's legions of followers are more than willing to pay top dollar to see the singer perform
live, but Carey's message may just be a tease.
Although Carey has not provided any details about an upcoming tour, the singer keeps her fans
informed about work on a new album. "In the studio, recording with Randy Jackson, Loris Holland
and some truly amazing musicians," posted Carey on Friday. "Can't wait untill you hear it."
Meanwhile, the 43-year-old "We Belong Together" singer has made headlines with her recent
weight loss. Carey has revealed her new body on the cover of Shape magazine this month, as
well as the secret to her success. "I realize that 90 percent of losing weight is my diet,"
said the singer speaking to Shape. "Today my workout routine is more about getting and
staying toned, and for me, that means either taking hour-long walks a few times a week or
jumping in the pool three or four days a week to do 45-minutes of aquatic exercise."
Carey promotes the Jenny Craig plan which has helped her lose weight gained during her
pregnancy with twins Morocco and Monroe, which she shares with husband Nick Cannon. After
opening up about her weight loss, Carey also discussed Cannon's recent health scare. The
31-year-old was hospitalized for kidney failure as well as a lupus-like autoimmune disease,
but has recovered.
"It was really frightening," said Carey. "He's feeling much stronger. He's taking better
care of himself, eating a diet low in sodium and sugar, and getting more sleep."

I'm sure all the celebrities performing did the same thing. It's standard these days. I was just happy to hear some gorgeous runs and Mariah's beautiful tone, which sounded clearer and thicker tha... read more

||Higher notes (40,074)
by David from Australia|
I think the struggle in reaching high notes is the only real criticism I can find in regards to her current vocal abilities. Otherwise, her whistles, low notes and runs are almost flawless. I still don't think her current voice is better than the Rainbow era though. Also, on a random note, I'm curious whether anyone apart from me prefers her Charmb... read more

||Whistle note at the end of AIWFCIY performance (40,073)

Do you all hear that whistle note at the end of the AIWFCIY Rockefeller performance (official clip), when she sings the last line of "Christmas"? I watched several fan tapings, but this whistle note was absent. Did she do multiple takes of the same song and dubbed them together? Anyway I thought this and JTTW were very solid performances. She soun... read more
