Mariah, Nick share first birthday photos of "dem babies"
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have launched a website for their 1-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan, called DemBabies.com. "We deliberated for so long about how to reveal the first pictures of our babies to the world," the couple wrote in a dedication on the site. "We just didn't want to do the typical thing and display them in a tabloid (not that there's anything wrong with that."
Instead, the couple has created a website, which shows images from the twins' lavish first birthday party in Paris on April 30 as well as a variety of photos taken over the past year. In one image from the party, Carey reclines on the ground next to Monroe, in a white gown, in a toy red Ferrari. Another image shows Carey in a ball gown holding her daughter, as the baby tries to grab her oversized diamond necklace. Clearly her mother's daughter. In another image, Cannon helps a bow-tie wearing Moroccan keep his balance on a rocking horse at the party. An earlier photo shows the baby boy in his crib wearing sunglasses and holding a plastic microphone.
"Moroccan has several nicknames, one of them is RocStar (Roc*) and you'll see why in a few of the pictures," writes the couple. (We think Moroccan Scott sounds like a character straight out of a Guy Ritchie movie.) "The camera seems to love Ms. Monroe and vice versa." The couple continued, "To us it's amazing to see their personalities shine through. They're such loving beautiful people already." (New York Post)
