Mariah Carey, Tyler Perry, Nick Cannon, Star Jones are just some of the huge celebrity names who helped Russell Simmons raise more than $2 million for his Art For Life charity. The Def Jam founder hosted the 13th annual Art For Life benefit last night at his East Hampton estate where he successfully raised an incredible amount of money for youths with proceeds going to Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation.

Soledad O'Brien took on hosting duties for the night while honorees Mariah and Nick praised Russell and his Art For Life co-founders and brothers, Rev Run and Danny, for the tremendous work they do to help improve the lives of underprivileged youths.

Auctioneer Star Jones managed to rile the crowd up and get them to part with $2 million collectively. Some of the top donators included the richest man in entertainment, Tyler Perry, who dropped $100,000, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and Patrice Motsepe who generously gave $150,000.

Celebrities who did their part and kept the party in full swing were Melanie Fiona who performed, former BET 106 & Park host Rocsi Diaz, Tamia and Grant Hill, Babyface, L.A. Reid and the whole Simmons clan, Angela, Diggy and Vanessa. Sounds like an incredible night!
