Mariah Carey goes on family vacation for anniversary
Mariah Carey isn't letting her "American idol" duties weigh her down. The pop star, 43, jetted off for a minibreak with her family to celebrate her fifth wedding anniversary with Nick Cannon. Carey wasn't shy about documenting her happy travels either, posting pictures on Instagram of her with her husband and twins, Monroe and Moroccan. "Going on a little vacation with Nick and dem babies," the "Almost Home" singer tweeted.
Forget about coach seats for these high fliers: Carey put up a picture of herself clad in a bright yellow dress ascending the stairs of a private jet on Friday. Carey and Cannon also spent some time together away from the kids. The singer showed some snaps of her with Cannon riding in a swanky black Ferrari.
The occasion came on the heels of Carey's birthday, March 27, doubling the reason for the two to celebrate. Cannon didn't forget to give his sweetheart a gift. Carey tweeted a photo of a balloon sculpture with "327" on it, as well as a giant cake with a butterfly on it. Carey also had something in store for her beau. The singer gifted her husband with a fully restored Steinway & Sons piano from 1902.
In February, Cannon revealed that he and Carey might be trying for more children. For Valentine's Day, Cannon told the Daily News, his plans were to "make some more babies". "We definitely got a baby-sitter for Valentine's Day. Those are the special moments," Cannon said. "I am a hopeless romantic and so is my wife." (New York Daily News)
