Mariah Carey displays her curves in patriotic bikini

She and her husband Nick Cannon love to share their lavish home life with their online fans. And Mariah Carey definitely got their undivided attention as she tweeted a star-spangled bikini snapshot on Wednesday to promote her performance on Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular.

"Gotta be pon de water for the Fourth of July. I can't wait for the NBC special, it's going to be festivity," the 43-year-old pop star tweeted to her 11.6 million followers. While the star doesn't reveal exactly when the snap was taken, some have speculated the shot is a "throwback" image taken years ago.

Mariah's 32-year-old beau also shared several Instagrams of their fraternal twin toddlers, Monroe and Moroccan, affectionately known as "dem babies". "Family time. Next bedtime stories," Nick captioned a crowded portrait of the merry foursome. The America's Got Talent host also shared an adorable picture of his two-year-old daughter pretending to sing her famous mother's new single, #Beautiful.

The Grammy winner with the five-octave vocal range was accused of lip-synching the track at the BET Awards alongside R&B star Miguel and rapper Young Jeezy. Carey's vocal and mouth clearly did not match up during the live telecast. "My wife is a perfectionist and clearly because she's done it right all her life. So she actually puts a lot of work into these performances," Nick told E! Online hours before the incident. "There's no management helping make decisions. Everything you see is all her, whether it's a collaboration when the lights hit, how she enters, she's doing all of that."

Mariah previously denied miming her medley on last month's American Idol finale. It's probably even less likely that she sang live for her pre-taped holiday concert airing live on NBC Thursday night. The Vision Of Love crooner performed #Beautiful again with Miguel, America The Beautiful, and Hero on June 27 at Liberty State Park. The 37th annual event will also air with performances from her husband, Cher, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, and Tim McGraw.

July 4 is a public holiday in the United States and arguably one of the most enthusiastically celebrated by U.S. citizens. The day marks the moment in history when America broke free from the rule of the British Empire. It was on July 4, 1776, that the Declaration of Independence was adopted by delegates to the Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia. The change came amidst great political upheaval during the American Revolution in which 13 colonies of North American joined forces to legally separate from Great Britain after rejecting royalist rule. The British Sovereign of the time was King George III.
