Mariah Carey proves she has still got it
Former American Idol judge Mariah Carey has been sparking controversy lately as she has been accused of lip syncing many of her recent performances. While many fans have been left wondering why the superstar singer would lip sync, Mariah proved recently that she has still got the chops.
Mariah Carey has been causing quite the stir on the web lately as the singer and mother of two has been accused of lip syncing many of her performances - including the finale of American Idol, and more recently, the BET Awards. While the superstar singer has kept mum on the accusations, she has also proven that yes, she can still belt it out.
At the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, Mariah made us wonder why she would even bother lip syncing to begin with. Taking the stage, Carey told the crowd: "As President Obama said earlier, today is a day to recognise what makes us proud to be Americans. This next song is a tribute to all the heroes who make us proud," and then she belted out Hero, and made us all remember why we fell in love with her in the first place.
Mariah also performed her newest single, Beautiful, but it was her performance of Hero that has everyone talking today. (Reality TV Magazine)
