Mariah Carey shares an audio message to fans
Back in early June we learned from Mariah Carey herself that she was planning to release her new album, at the time rumored to be titled The Art Of Letting Go, on July 23 (yesterday) but just a few weeks later announced that she was NOT releasing her album in July after all.
Yesterday, on the day that her album was supposed to be released, Mimi posted a "nostalgic, old school voicemail message" to her fans on her official Soundcloud profile about the album delay... and she even shared a small snippet of new music as well. The voicemail message is classic MC and it must be heard in full.
It's obvious that Mariah really intended yesterday to be a beautiful day but, alas, it wasn't meant to be. The album was delayed because she just wasn't finished with the album yet. After her injury on the set of her music video, it's clear that she will need even more time to get her album done and ready for release. That's OK, though. Yes, I wanted a new album as soon as possible but, as I said before, I'd rather she take her time to put out the best album possible than rush to release an album that would be subpar. The voicemail message from Mimi was sweet though... she sure loves her Lambs, don't she? No word on when her album is planned for release but I know we'll get it when Mimi deems it good and ready.
