Mariah Carey confirms new single, album arriving in 2014
Fans have been waiting patiently for Mariah Carey to drop some new material. Well, it looks as
if the wait will be over in 2014. Mimi has confirmed that a new single and album will be
released in a few months. During her appearance on NBC's year-end program, "New Year's Eve with
Carson Daly", she revealed that a new single will arrive on February 14 and the album will follow
in the spring. MC then performed her latest song, "The Art of Letting Go".|
In 2013, Carey released the Miguel-assisted tune "#Beautiful" and a few remixes. The "Touch My
Body" singer was scheduled to release the album in July, but the project was delayed. Last year
was a bumpy one for Carey. While filming the video for "#Beautiful", the 40-year-old singer
dislocated her shoulder after she tripped in her signature high heels.
In brighter news, Carey appointed her longtime producer Jermaine Dupri as her manager. So while
we wait for Mariah Carey to drop new music, the singer wished her Lambs (aka her fans) a Happy
New Year on Instagram.

Was that shade Lee? If so, you tried it. Don't you dare come for "The boss". Diana was a gifted singer, vocalist and belter. She did fine with what she had. The only thing Diana *dreamed* of was success. And that she achieved. Funny you bring her in the mix. Another legendary diva who slays Celine lol.

I love how Mariah use personal things from her life in her video clips. Like she did in "We belong together" with her own wedding dress. Or in "#Beautiful" the car of her dad. Or "Through the rain" the story of her parents and the sunflowers, because her father loves sunflowers. Or "I still believe" her admiration for Marilyn Monroe.

I am hoping that the quality of the production for MC Vegas shows will be up to par with Celine's. I watched Celine at Caesar's in 2006, and the show was so beautiful that I was moved to tears. Before I became a Mariah fan (circa 1997), I used to listed to Celine's albums on cassette. I also had Alanis' Jagged Little Pill on cassette, and listened ... read more
