Mariah Carey confirms new single, album arriving in 2014
Fans have been waiting patiently for Mariah Carey to drop some new material. Well, it looks as
if the wait will be over in 2014. Mimi has confirmed that a new single and album will be
released in a few months. During her appearance on NBC's year-end program, "New Year's Eve with
Carson Daly", she revealed that a new single will arrive on February 14 and the album will follow
in the spring. MC then performed her latest song, "The Art of Letting Go".|
In 2013, Carey released the Miguel-assisted tune "#Beautiful" and a few remixes. The "Touch My
Body" singer was scheduled to release the album in July, but the project was delayed. Last year
was a bumpy one for Carey. While filming the video for "#Beautiful", the 40-year-old singer
dislocated her shoulder after she tripped in her signature high heels.
In brighter news, Carey appointed her longtime producer Jermaine Dupri as her manager. So while
we wait for Mariah Carey to drop new music, the singer wished her Lambs (aka her fans) a Happy
New Year on Instagram.

You're right, MC doesn't owe any of us anything, and in return we do not owe her our blind support any longer. If you make the huge mistake of alienating, irritating and disrespecting your die hard core fan base, that's not good for business. After all, it is the music business, emphasis on the word business. I have never felt this way before about... read more

Does anyone know why different countries get later or earlier release dates of the albums. Like Europe normally gets them first and US somewhere in the middle. Why is that when most of her sales come from the US anyway? Also why does Japan get bonus tracks when US doesn't? They got 4real4real and Heat and America got the standard edition.
