Mariah Carey confirms new single, album arriving in 2014
Fans have been waiting patiently for Mariah Carey to drop some new material. Well, it looks as
if the wait will be over in 2014. Mimi has confirmed that a new single and album will be
released in a few months. During her appearance on NBC's year-end program, "New Year's Eve with
Carson Daly", she revealed that a new single will arrive on February 14 and the album will follow
in the spring. MC then performed her latest song, "The Art of Letting Go".
In 2013, Carey released the Miguel-assisted tune "#Beautiful" and a few remixes. The "Touch My
Body" singer was scheduled to release the album in July, but the project was delayed. Last year
was a bumpy one for Carey. While filming the video for "#Beautiful", the 40-year-old singer
dislocated her shoulder after she tripped in her signature high heels.
In brighter news, Carey appointed her longtime producer Jermaine Dupri as her manager. So while
we wait for Mariah Carey to drop new music, the singer wished her Lambs (aka her fans) a Happy
New Year on Instagram.

I think it's a reference to the Kermit meme. There is an Internet meme featuring a picture of Kermit the Frog sipping tea which usually has a statement on the top line followed by "but that's none of my business" on the bottom line. That is just stunning. Holy cr*p. Her voice just astonishes. On another note, I love Latin music. In 1995 Selena passed. She was in the process of recording her English cross-over album at the time of her passing. Over the weekend I was watching some interview footage of artists paying tribute to her, and up pops our Mariah talking about how the lo... read more (Sunday 24 May 2015; 23:24)

My message about boyish men in Mariah Carey's life still applies. However, I was pleased to learn from Damiano Youngs twitter page, "I got screwed. My apologies to Mariah Carey, that was not what the article was to be about and was not my quotes." The apology campaign begins to infinity. (Sunday 24 May 2015; 23:14)
