Which "You're Mine" single is your new favorite song?
| | | Lea Michele | | Lea Michele and Mariah Carey are two pop divas with amazing pipes, but their velvety vocals aren't the only things these songstresses have in common - their new singles are both titled "You're Mine". But before you go crying a pop faux pas, or accuse Lea of stealing Mimi's spotlight, let's get one thing straight: both of these mid-tempo ballads are fabulous.
It's hard not to get emotional when listening to Lea belt out "You're Mine". After all, she wrote this song about her late boyfriend Cory Monteith. When she whimsically sings, "I'm yours, you're mine", on the chorus, we suddenly get the urge to twirl around our rooms with a hair brush.
As for Mimi, well, "You're Mine (Eternal)" is a return to form for the diva. Unlike Lea's powerhouse vocals, Mariah delivers an effortlessly understated performance on the R&B track. But don't worry, Lambs. Mariah reaches for her iconic whistle register to close out the single. This is definitely an excellent addition to anyone's Valentine's Day mix. (Wetpaint)
