Spoof Mariah Carey video wins social media award
The NHS trust that runs Chase Farm Hospital has won an award for a video aimed at combating he spread of flu. Its spoof of Mariah Carey's hit All I Want For Christmas Is You, was victorious at the national "Flu Fighter" awards ceremony, winning the digital and social media award.
It beat four other NHS organisations to the prize, including University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, West Midlands Ambulance Service and a consortium of Manchester's clinical commissioning groups. The category was judged by Teresa Chinn, founder of the Twitter group We Nurses, who called it "an inspired use of social media".
Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals NHS Trust's video I Don't Want A Christmas With Flu has clocked up over 20,000 hits since its release in November, with over half of these views coming from overseas. (Hertfordshire Mercury)
