Mariah flops on DVD
Sultry singer Mariah Carey's acting career is going from bad to worse - DVDs of her debut movie "Glitter" have drastically flopped. The busty blonde played aspiring crooner Billie opposite Mel B's beau Max Beesley in the film, which failed both critically and in the box office.
Reception to the movie in Britain was so poor, it was pulled from cinemas within a few weeks of release. Since the DVD was released in America two weeks ago it has sold only a measly 200 copies. One Hollywood executive labeled the flick "the worst DVD release of a major motion picture ever". And news of the sales figures couldn't come at a worse time, the singer is currently searching for a record deal after her multi-million contract with Virgin was "terminated" last week.
