Mariah Carey shows off her ample cleavage

She may have been celebrating the opening of one of the Big Apple's most breathtaking views. But no doubt several eyes were still fixated on Mariah Carey. The 45-year-old singer showed off plenty of cleavage at the One World Observatory opening in New York City on Thursday evening.

The Fantasy hitmaker stunned in a clinging black dress at the location used for observing terrestrial or celestial events found at the top of the new World Trade Center in Manhattan. The racy number featuring a deep V-cut was adorned with a jeweled detailing and sheer panels around the cleavage and thighs. She also donned matching black heels as she accessorised the look with blinged out silver bracelets around her left wrist.

Mariah completed the look with her highlighted blonde locks worn down into waves flowing over her shoulders as her evening make-up featured plenty of dark blush around the cheeks and a swipe of shiny pink lip. She certainly seemed excited to perform during the night's festivities as she beamed backstage while clutching onto a gold microphone.

The plunging look was very similar to the one she rocked just over a week and a half ago at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on May 17. She wore a very low cut Tom Ford dress that flashed plenty of her best assets and featured a long cape as she hit the red carpet at the star-studded event.

Mariah was not the only celebrity at the opening event at the new Big Apple landmark as Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea Hurley were in attendance along with actor Andrew Scott Rannells, singer Bernadette Peters and actor Alan Cumming.

The new venue is atop the Manhattan skyline giving an breathtaking perspective while looking down upon New York City from 1776 feet above the ground. The One World Observatory officially opens to the public on Friday, May 29 and will eventually offer complimentary admission to 9/11 family members along with rescue and recovery workers who responded on 9/11 and the months following.
