Mariah kickstarts new star showcase

On October 25, 2002, Mariah will kick off Seventeen Magazine's New Star Showcase event on a high note by introducing a rising act on her new record label MonarC Music. Entertainment Tonight's Maria Menounos will be on hand to host the show and bring the hottest bands and celebs onstage. Hot hip-hop group B2K will keep the crowd on their feet with their headlining performance. They'll blow everyone away with their silky-smooth voices and hit songs like "Uh Huh" and "Gots Ta Be" from their new album on Epic Records.

Mariah's management, Maroon Entertainment, confirmed that she will be at the event, which is presented by Entertainment Tonight from 7:00-10:00 P.M. at the Roseland Ballroom, located at 239 West 52nd St., New York City. Look in the November issue of Seventeen to see whom else will be there. Be a part of the action. Check out the latest trends during our fashion show, receive a mini-makeover, watch the Sears "Steal the Spotlight" dancers, groove to hot new music with Z100 and walk away with tons of great goodies. All for just $17 a ticket.

Don't wait. Tickets will sell fast. Send your name, address and phone number with a check or money order for $17 per ticket (made out to Seventeen) to: New Star Showcase Tickets, c/o Seventeen, 1440 Broadway, 13th Floor, New York, NY 10018, Attn: Sarah Hockman.
