Most added song at US radio

Virgin Records mega-superstar Mariah Carey's first single, "Loverboy", is breaking records scoring the #1 most added record at American radio this week. It's the start of an exciting new chapter in the already amazing career of Mariah, who has sold close to 2 million records here in Australia, with global sales of over 150 million.

"Loverboy," the first single released from Glitter, features a hook from Cameo's 1985 smash hit, "Candy", and enlists Cameo's own Larry Blackmon and Thomas Jenkins in the 2001 smash remake. The song, co-produced by DJ Clark Kent, also features US rap superstars Ludacris and Da Brat, and has been remixed for the dance floor by remixers David Morales and MJ Cole. The star-studded video for "Loverboy", recently shot in Los Angeles, CA by acclaimed photographer/ director David Lachapelle, features cameos by Da Brat, Ludacris and Cameo, who take to the motor speedway for a never-before-seen adventure on wheels with the sexy Mariah.

"Loverboy" is officially serviced to Australian media on Monday June 25 and released to retail on July 16. Mariah's long-awaited new album, "Glitter", is released on August 20. Her debut acting performance as the lead in the Hollywood Feature of the same name is due for National Release in October. There's also a strong rumour that Mariah will be gracing Australian shores in the coming months..
