Mariah did not buy life-size doll of herself for Bryan

Mariah Carey did not give her boyfriend Bryan Tanaka a life-size doll of herself, despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We're told it's not true.

According to Life & Style, Carey "shelled out $10,000 for a talking, singing, life-size Mariah doll as a gift for Brian" for when she's away. An untrustworthy or even possibly made-up "insider" is quoted in the publication as saying, "The doll plays recorded messages of Mariah's favorite sayings, like 'Mimi misses you', 'You're fabulous' and 'Where's my champagne, darling?'" The supposed "insider" adds, "The doll even sings Bryan's favorite songs of hers, like 'Dreamlover' and 'Hero'."

The magazine further alleges that if "Brian ever wants to play dress-up, the Mariah doll comes with its own collection of sparkly designer gowns". Tanaka loves the doll, contends the outlet. Its same seemingly fabricated source claims, "He thinks the doll is hilarious and even joked about taking it out on the town with him when she's not around."

A rep for Carey, however, exclusively tells Gossip Cop that "none of this is true". Of course, we're not surprised by the falsity of the story. Remember, this is the same tabloid Gossip Cop busted when it wrongly reported Carey was having a baby with James Packer. Interestingly, the tabloid also doesn't mention in this article its most recent inaccurate claim that Carey and Tanaka are engaged. Much like those previous tales, the latest story about Carey buying Tanaka a life-size doll is similarly unfounded.
