Feminist defends Mariah against Rob Huebel's comments

Rob Huebel has recently uncovered details about how filming went with Mariah Carey. Fans are divided on the issue. Others are empathetic while some are unsure of why they were fans of the pop legend. A feminist has aired her side on the issue.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly's SiriusXM Radio, Huebel revealed that Mariah Carey demanded white roses and stuffed lambs to be delivered to her trailer. The actor and comedian also said Carey was late for her "The House" cameo.

In his radio interview, Rob Huebel also said the cameo shoot "did not go well". Huebel detailed that Mariah Carey refused to do what the producers wanted her to do. Carey also allegedly didn't want to sing the song the producers picked for her to perform.

Since Huebel's comments emerged online, fans have been debating. There have been previous rumors suggesting that Mariah Carey always had a diva attitude. It is unclear if the "Vision of Love" singer has responded to the backlash.

Sesali Bowen of Refinery 29 notes that Rob Huebel suggested he didn't know Mariah Carey before getting to meet her on the set of "The House". The well-known feminist went on to say that the "Always Be My Baby" singer has always had a knack for interior design. Her comment comes in light of Carey's alleged requests for all-white roses in her trailer.

Bowen suggests that Rob Huebel may not have known who Mariah Carey was all this time. For Bowen, Carey was just being the strong and confident woman who knew what she wanted and asked for it. There could also have been creative differences on the "House" set.

Will Ferrell and Amy Poehlr, lead stars in "The House", have yet to officially comment on Rob Huebel's remarks. Mariah Carey has also not commented on the issue yet. It remains to be seen if the legendary pop star will appear in the film or not.

Mariah Carey is a multi-award winning pop star. She has collected numerous awards including the World Music Awards for Best Selling Female Artist of the Millenium.
