Mariah Carey steps out in Paris

She's currently jet setting across Europe for her All I Want For Christmas Is You tour. And the ever-glamorous Mariah Carey, 47, took time to relax while travelling through Paris, stepping out in the French capital on Thursday, heading to the Ritz.

The We Belong Together songstress dresses impeccably for every occasion, and her day out in Paris was no exception as she slipped into a skin-tight burgundy floor-length gown. Mariah matched her jacket effortlessly with her footwear choice, opting for a black leather spiked heeled boot.

She wouldn't be Mariah without diamonds, and she made sure to add a bit of sparkle with a number of bejeweled statement rings and classic hooped earrings. Tying up her golden tresses in a messy bun, Mariah beamed as she greeted fans outside the Parisian hotel. She covered her eyes with a pair of stylish big rimmed sunglasses but kept her make-up subtle, opting for a shiny pink lip.

Mariah has just finished her annual residency of her All I Want For Christmas Is You tour at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. However, the singer's stint in the Big Apple was cut short this year, after she was forced to cancel her first three shows due to illness. Mariah is set to perform in the French capital, Manchester and London, before finishing her run with five shows at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

To commemorate her last show in the Big Apple on Tuesday, the singer enlisted the help of her twins Moroccan and Monroe and boyfriend Bryan Tanaka to provide the backing vocals for her new festive hit The Star. The song is from the animated movie of the same name, featuring the voices of Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry.

Meanwhile her popular holiday song All I Want For Christmas Is You, which was written in 15 minutes and recorded by Mariah in 1994, has earned the singer $60 million in royalties, according to a recent article by The Economist.

Wow, the Daily Fail strikes again. There are just a couple of inaccuracies in this article. Great reporting.
