Mariah signs major deal with Live Nation Entertainment

Mariah Carey‘s comeback is taking seismic shape. The diva supreme is racking up new deals left and right, including a management partnership with Roc Nation. Her latest teaming, though, is with Live Nation Entertainment.

In a feature on her new Sin City residency "The Butterfly Returns", Las Vegas Week reports that Carey recently inked a lucrative worldwide deal with the concert promoter. And while the terms are being kept under wraps, it's believed that the venture will see the songbird expand her live presence - both domestically and internationally - in a major way.

The Live Nation deal is notable in that it sees Carey switch from their longterm rival AEG Live, who promoted her first Vegas run. Speaking on teaming with Mimi, Live Nation Las Vegas President Kurt Melien said: "Everybody wanted her back. It was just a function of when and how do we put a deal together to give her the opportunity to create the new show she wanted to do."

"As for her last #1's only show she was a little restricted by that, creatively, because there are some songs she's passionate about that are not No. 1s. This show will still have all the hits and some fan favorites. I think she's going to be in Las Vegas for a long time. She belongs here."
