Following the terror attacks in Surabaya and Sidoarjo, East Java, several countries, including the United States and Australia, have issued travel advisories for their citizens on Indonesia. Despite the warnings, singer Mariah Carey is still coming to Indonesia for a concert at Borobudur Temple, Magelang, Central Java, on November 6.
Palwoto, the concert's project manager told kompas.com on Monday that the promoter continues to communicate with Carey's agent and provide updates. Mariah Carey's management has yet to change the plan.
Palwoto, who is also the finance, human resource and investment director of the temple's management company, PT Taman Wisata Candi Prambanan, Borobudur and Ratu Boko (TWC), said that the promoter would try to do their best in organizing the concert.
He added that the company will provide tight security to ensure the pop diva's safety from the beginning until the end of her trip in Indonesia. However, with or without the bomb attacks, the promoter would still provide such high-level security based on the required procedures, he said.
