Just days earlier, she dedicated her throwback Thursday to her 17-year-old album Glitter, which made it to number one on the iTunes album charts. And on Monday, Mariah Carey was spotted leaving Good Morning America after performing the song With You from her new Caution album.

The 48-year-old singer, who flashed her cleavage in a sequin blouse, also revealed that she never performed tunes from the Glitter album because "it almost ruined my life". For her appearance, Mariah chose a long-sleeved dark hued top that featured sequins all over, with a revealing neckline.

The mother of two flaunted her toned form in curve-hugging bottoms with lace-up black mules. The five-time Grammy award winning songstress layered a edgy leather jacket on top, featuring ribbing on the shoulders. Mariah donned geometric shaped sunglasses with an array of diamond rings. Mariah styled her blonde tresses sleek and center parted with a swipe of pink glossy lipstick on her pout.

Soon after performing a With You on Good Morning America from her new album Caution, which was released on Friday, the singer shared a snap. Mariah was posed besides Good Morning America hosts following her performance on the show.

Post performance, the songstress talked about taking her children, seven-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, on tour: "They love it. We do all different types of things. We had Halloween in Japan and they made dumplings. They get into the cultural aspects of things."

Host Michael Strahan, who noted that she brought them on stage in Japan during her performance of Always Be My Baby, asked if she thought they would get into show business. The singer said: "You know if they want to do that, I'll be happy for them. Whatever they want to do I'll be supportive."

Last week, Mariah shared the cover of her 2001 album Glitter, which was the soundtrack to her movie of the same name. The star wrote on Thursday: "I have to dedicate today's #tbt to Glitter, which is currently #1 on the iTunes chart, 17 years after its released and on the eve of my new album release! My fans are the best. Justice for Glitter. Let's go Caution."

She said during GMA why she hashtagged Justice For Glitter: "Because that's the Lambs, the Lambily, those are my fans, they have this movement it's called hashtag Justice For Glitter, which I think was directed to me because I never really performed those songs because it almost ruined my life."

She is referring to the movie Glitter becoming a box office failure and critical flop. Mariah starred in the film as Billie Frank with Max Beesley, Terrence Howard and Padma Lakshmi as co-stars. Glitter made only $5.3 million worldwide. Mariah added: "I can say it now that they got it to No.1 so I thank them." Mariah said: "But the truth is, it's for the nostalgia now because it's actually a really good album."

In 2013, the star appeared on Watch What Happens Live, where she told Andy Cohen doing Glitter was one of the biggest regrets of her career. She explained during WWHL: "Honestly, it was always Glitter because I didn't have somebody in control. I really needed a Hollywood legend to be in control. It was called the 'G' word, we couldn't bring it up. In retrospect, I learned something and I'm grateful for that experience. But, it was a horrible couple of years, but I had to get my momentum back for people to let it go."

Caution is Mariah's 15th studio album; she co-wrote all of the songs. The star told Michael that "writing is actually my favorite part", with the tune Portrait as the song being the one she is most proud of.
