Singer Mariah Carey apparently visited Playland on Tuesday, returning to the Rye amusement park where she filmed the music video for her 1995 single "Fantasy". A pair of photos posted to Playland's official Twitter account today show Carey and her two young children on the Dragon Coaster and Double Shot rides.
"Fantasy became a reality last night when Mariah Carey came to Playland," said a Tweet accompanying the photos.
The "Fantasy" video showed Carey inline skating on the Playland boardwalk, riding the classic wooden Dragon Coaster and dancing in the back of an SUV in Playland's parking lot at night.
Historical Playland, opened in 1928, has been a setting for several movies and TV shows, most notably the Tom Hanks film "Big". Earlier this year, "The Sopranos" prequel movie tentatively titled "Newark" filmed scenes at the amusement park.
