Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis score 15th No. 1

Legendary music producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis recently scored their 15th No.1 Pop hit with Janet Jackson's "All For You", the explosive first single from her highly anticipated new album, to be released on April 24. The "All For You" single remains at No.1 on the Pop & R&B charts for the third week in a row and made music history in March, when it became the first recording to be added to every radio station in the pop, rhythm and R&B genre in its first week of release. The song marks Jam & Lewis's astonishing 39th Top 10 Pop hit and their 24th No.1 R&B hit. The single, "All For You" and album of the same name were written, produced & executive produced by Jam & Lewis along with Janet.

The record breaking "All For You" helped the longtime songwriting and producing duo break their own record for a third time in a row. They are ranked at No.3 of all time Pop producers who've had the most No.1 hit records. This past year, Jam & Lewis tied with Barry Gibb with 14 No.1 hits, when Janet's "Doesn't Really Matter" from the Nutty Professor II: The Klumps soundtrack, soared to the top of the charts. They now stand alone in 3rd place of all time with 15 No.1 Pop Hits to date. Earlier, that same year, Jam & Lewis earned their 13th No.1 pop hit with Mariah Carey's "Thank God I Found You", which received a 2001 Grammy nomination for "Best Pop Collaboration".

Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis's amazing run of No.1's on the Pop charts began in 1986 with Janet Jackson's hit "When I Think Of You", giving the consistent hitmaking team 15 No. 1 pop hits in 15 years. The only two producers ahead of them in rank are George Martin (The Beatles) with 23 No.1 hits and Steve Sholes (Elvis Presley) with 16 No.1 hits.

Internationally, Jam & Lewis continue to make a major impact on all music charts, as Janet's "All For You" is currently No.1 in Canada, Europe and remains at No.1 in Japan for five weeks straight. Similarly, Japanese superstar, Hikaru Utada's album, Distance, which is led by 2 No.1 Jam & Lewis produced singles, is currently No.1 in Japan, selling 4 million copies in just 2 weeks.

Recently, Jam & Lewis became a part of another record breaking historic moment - they are executive producing the soundtrack to Mariah Carey's upcoming autobiographical movie, Glitter, the first release from Carey's new label home, Virgin Records, which signed her to a contract worth over $20 million per album.

Celebrating their 20th year professionally in the music industry (beginning in 1981 as members of the legendary Minneapolis funk band The Time), Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis reign supreme as music's transcendent hitmakers. Through the 80's, 90's, and new millennium, they remain the icons behind the icon, and simply the most successful writing & producing team in modern music chart history. Current and upcoming projects for the duo include Usher, Mary J. Blige, Blu Cantrell, Enrique Iglesias, Deborah Cox, Isley Brothers, Yolanda Adams, Luther Vandross, Jordan Knight, and Aretha Franklin. In addition, Jam & Lewis are signing new artists to their Flyte Tyme Records label, a joint venture with Arista Records.
