If Mariah Carey has her way, the sweatpants skirt will soon be all the rage. The sweatpants skirt? Yup, a pair of old sweatpants reconfigured into a jaunty mini. The songbird is hoping that the style just might do for "All That Glitters" (her upcoming film set in the ‘80s) what that little off-the-shoulder top did for "Flashdance" back in ’83. It’s no big surprise that the pop diva’s wardrobe for the movie, due this August, is long on the short skirts. But bet you didn’t know why: According to the film’s costume designer Joe Aulisi, nature has blessed Carey with an oh-so-fetching "dimple" on one of her legs, and she loves to show it off. (People)
