Carey album bumped
Mariah Carey's debut album for Virgin Records, Glitter, has been pushed back
from its August 21st release date to September 11th, while the singer recovers
from an emotional and physical breakdown she suffered three weeks ago.
Glitter doubles as the soundtrack for the 20th Century Fox film of the same
name, in which Carey stars and co-produced. The film's release was also pushed
back from August 31st to September 21st, and, following Carey's
hospitalization, all of her scheduled public appearances were canceled.
Carey was released from a Connecticut hospital on August 8th, and, according to
her publicist, she is recovering under doctor's care at an undisclosed location
in the company of her mother.
