The ghost of Mariah
Troubled pop queen Mariah Carey looked a far cry from her glamour-girl image as she stepped out in Los Angeles. The singer's fresh-faced charms seem to have evaporated and she appeared to have gained weight since the trauma of a reported suicide bid and two nervous breakdowns in two months. Carey, 31, famed for hits including Heartbreaker, was photographed for the first time since checking out of a psychiatric hospital. "She looked awful - just like a ghost," a source said.
