Single pushed back in Australia

Mariah's second single from "Glitter", "Never Too Far"/"Don't Stop", has been pushed back two weeks to Monday October 22nd. The original date was October 8th, when it would go up against new releases from Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, Destiny's Child and N'Sync. With the new release date MC will be up against Jennifer Lopez and Jessica Simpson - both from Sony.

The decision was made to allow time for a "Don't Stop" video to be filmed and released to the world. While music TV shows haven't warmed up to "Never Too Far", which was taken with footage directly from the film, a new video is sure to arouse interest. Whether the video has already been filmed or is about to be filmed is unclear.

Today we can also announce that sadly Mariah has cancelled her promo tour of Japan and thus will not be visiting us in Australia this year. Don't be surprised if we see MC down here early next year.

Many thanks to the Australian Mariah Carey Fanclub.
