Michael Jackson disses his old label

Michael Jackson is telling his former label to beat it. And he has some shockingly harsh words for his former boss. Jackson has blamed Sony for the failure of his latest album, "Invincible", and at a fan rally blasting the label, the Moonwalker lashed out at Sony head Tommy Mottola. Jackson went on stage at the Equinox nightclub in London brandishing a sign that read "Sony kills music" and called his former boss "evil" and the "devil", according to various sources. "He said that Tommy's way of doing business must be terminated," a source tells the Scoop. "It was pretty harsh stuff."

Sony released a statement that said, in part, "Over the years Sony Music has gone to great lengths to create and maintain a worldwide audience for Michael Jackson's music... We are extremely proud of all we have accomplished on Michael Jackson's behalf." The label has, however, clashed with other artists, including George Michael, and, according to Jackson, Mariah Carey "cried in his arms" about the treatment by Mottola, who also happens to be her ex-husband.

Jackson is reportedly also close to signing a new recording contract with Harrod's owner Mohammed Al Fayed, the controversial, publicity-hungry father of Dodi Al Fayed, who died in a car crash with Princess Diana. Several reports, including one in the London Express, say that Jackson flew by helicopter with Darryl Hannah and magician David Blaine to meet with Al Fayed. Jackson's rep couldn't be reached for comment.
