3 CD box set
In the UK, a 3 CD box set (catalogue number 509634 2) was released with the albums "MTV Unplugged", "Daydream" and "Butterfly". It was released by Mariah's first record company, Sony Music Entertainment Ltd. In 2001, Sony already released two different 3 CD box sets in Australia and New Zealand. The second box set has the same CD's as the UK release, while the first one contains the albums "Mariah Carey", "Emotions" and "Music Box".
Ever since Mariah left Sony and signed a contract with Virgin, they have tried to make more money of her. Last year, a greatest hits CD was released, with all of her hits and some memorable songs. But just like they did during the time Mariah was still signed, promotion was terrible. It is the same story with the UK box set. I doubt it if more fans know about it. I don't mind, I rather see Sony release the old videos, like "The first vision" and "Fantasy: Mariah Carey at Madison Square Garden", on DVD.
