Mariah rethinking summer tour

Less than a month after announcing her first North American tour in three years, Mariah Carey has pulled back from those plans. Her arena tour was scheduled to start July 18th in Anchorage, Alaska, and run through a September 23rd stop on the other side of the continent in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Instead, the singer will likely embark on a smaller-scale outing. A post on her Web site confirms that the tour's dates and venues are changing, and promises something "really special". New dates and venues are expected within a week.

Carey's latest album Charmbracelet, released last December, is also getting a facelift. The million-selling set will be augmented with four additional tracks - reportedly including her duet with Busta Rhymes, "I Know What You Want", two new songs and a remix - and reissued on July 29th.
