Son of Mariah Carey's manager dies after party

The son of singer Mariah Carey's manager was found dead after a party with friends that sent three others to the hospital. The group with Conor McNally was using alcohol and marijuana, and unidentified white tablets were found in a building on the McNally family's Bernardsville property, Somerset County Prosecutor Wayne J. Forrest said.

McNally, 21, is the son of Carey manager Louise McNally, and her husband, Michael McNally. McNally, his girlfriend, Tiffany Rossi, 19, of California, and four others gathered at a carriage house on the property. Rossi called 911 about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday when she was unable to wake McNally and one of the other men, Forrest said.

McNally, a former hockey player at Seton Hall Prep and a student at the University of Arizona, was pronounced dead at the scene, Forrest said. No charges have been filed. Autopsy results and a determination on the pills are pending, he said.

Joseph Albarelli, 20, a student at the University of Pennsylvania, where he plays football, was taken to Morristown Memorial Hospital. He remained in critical condition Thursday, hospital spokeswoman Kim Accardo said.

Rossi, who also attends the University of Arizona, and Paul Wieble, 21, of Vernon, were treated and released. The others in the group, Christopher Ridley, 21, of Bernardsville, who attends Loyola University in New Orleans, and Robert Wieble, 19, of Vernon, Paul's brother, did not need treatment, authorities said.

Carey refers to Louise McNally as "Weezey McNally" in the notes of her "Rainbow" album, which says, "Thanks for sacrificing so much for me, my beloved partner in an ongoing quest to find the metaphorical pot of gold at the end of the Rainbow."
