Mariah gets designer's handbag at show

When Mariah Carey saw the trendy personalized handbag that designer Ira DeWitt held up during Carey's concert Friday at the Fox Theatrein St. Louis, the diva stopped the show. She asked DeWitt if she had made the personalized name bag for her, and DeWitt answered, "Yes, Miss Carey." Mariah then had DeWitt bring the bag up to her on stage, where she modeled it and exclaimed over how perfectly it went with her ensemble. "I just knew she'd love it," DeWitt said Monday, still excited about her brush with the diva.

DeWitt and her pal, Missy Leggat, design a line of fashionable handbags and shoes. DeWitt, whose husband is Cardinals exec Bill DeWitt III, was at the concert with pals, including Channel 5's Leisa Zigman, Lisa Cohen, and Lisa Weiss. Both Zigman and Cohen have the bag, Weiss recently ordered one.
