Mariah's plans for 2004

Three days ago, I had the news that Mariah's new album will be called Candyland. In Entertainment Weekly, Mariah supposedly said: "Candyland was always one of my favorite games growing up. I remember playing it with my family, and I think the title has a symbollic meaning as well, with all of the different colors and so forth. It also represents like, my dreams of growing up and making something of myself."

Many fans thought this name was to girlish. Well, I can assure you. The above article from Entertainment Weekly was fabricated by a so-called fan (I don't think someone who fabricates stories and tell lies is a fan). Mariah has no intention releasing a new album in the near future, let alone that she already came up with an album title. According to Lionel Cole, the co-writer of Through The Rain and Mariah's piano player for the Charmbracelet tour, it is impossible to release a new album next year due to Mariah's future commitments after the world tour. He added that it is more likely that a new album will be released in 2005.

Then, what are Mariah's plans for 2004? In January, Mariah will begin rehearsals for the London stage adaptation of the comedy The Sleeping Prince. The Terrence Rattigan play is best known for its 1957 screen interpretation, The Prince And The Showgirl, which starred Laurence Olivier and Marilyn Monroe. And there are still plans for a new movie, called Sweet Science. Fans may look forward to the release of the Charmbracelet world tour on DVD, even though Universal France said that they never confirmed the release of this DVD, they only confirmed the shooting of the concert in Paris. Universal France don't know when it could be released, if it will be released.
