"What Would You Do" not over yet?

Jessica Simpson
The Remixes maintains its ground at #8 on the Top Electronic Albums chart but it has a bullet. The soundtrack to "Queer Eye For the Straight Guy" flip flops with a former #1, "Fired Up!". "Through the Rain" continues to linger on the Hot Dance Singles Sales chart and returns to the #14 position.

And now onto "What Would You Do". I stated last week that the single was on its way off the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart... and it still might be. However this week the single regains its bullet and hops two spaces to #92. Could the single make another resurgence like it did about a month ago? Maybe not. This is only a small increase but of course anything is possible.

In addition to being #1 on the Hot 100, Usher now is #1 on the R&B singles chart with "Yeah!". "Yeah!" has a comfortable lead ahead of "Slow Jamz" and looks to maintain a firm grip on the #1 spot in the near future. The only challenger seems to be Chingy's "One Call Away" which continues to earn greatest gainer/airplay honors and is now top 5 on the Hot 100. However "Yeah!" has yet to truly peak as it still has a bullet in its ninth week.

Jessica Simpson is enjoying one of the biggest hits of her career. "With You" currently sits at #16 on the Hot 100. The song looks like it is on its way to surpassing "Iressistible", Jessica's previous peak on the airwaves. In actuality though it is "I Wanna Love You Forever" that has the title for the best Hot 100 peak for a Jessica Simpson single. Her debut single made it all the way to #3 fueled by strong sales. However over on the Top 40 Mainstream chart "With You" has done better than even "I Wanna Love You Forever". This week Jessica earns her first ever #1 on that chart. So "With You" is now the biggest pop hit in the country.

Over on the Billboard 200 the top two remains unchanged with Norah Jones enjoying a second week at #1 with her sophmore effort. The album has done this well without any major support from radio. On the flip side Evanescence are enjoying some strong sales mostly thanks to radio. Their latest single "My Immortal" is moving at a fair pace up the singles chart and the accompanying album "Fallen" matches its previous peak of #3 once again.
