Universal fan gathering

So we all made our merry way to Universal City Walk in front of the Hard Rock Café from miles around. It was kind of hot that day with the sun beating down on us, but we soon had relief when we were seated inside. I strolled up to the crowd of obvious Mariah fans awkwardly and waved a few fingers at my side, awaiting acceptance from the flock. With a smile a girl waved back at me and I realized these were nice lambies, so I joined them.

There was about 12 people there to begin with while we were waiting for Joe, so we just stood around and talked about posting on HBF, trying to figure out who was who. Then Joe showed up and we took some pictures on the walk with our Mariah stuff before going in. We were finally seated, then a few more fans trickled in as the party started going. We all chatted and got to know one another, I met some really nice lambs there and some really crazy ones too. After we ate we had cake, one fan had this amazing cake made with an animated Mariah on the top and a rainbow, it looked great and tasted even better. A fan Jan brought in a huge cardboard picture of Mariah and Mariah fell over a couple times, Kelly said "OK Mariah you've had too much Cristal!" Another lamb Bert brought this cute Hello Kitty stereo and we were playing MC tunes while we chilled.

We passed around the fan book and everyone signed it, then we were showing off our MC memorabilia, autographed stuff, pictures, scrap books, calendars, magazines, etc. Joe had some cute easter eggs filled with party goodies, necklaces, rings with lambs, party hats, and pencils. My lamb is still wearing his necklace and party hat.

After cake we played quizzes with trick questions to confuse us, and the people who won got these really cool prizes that Joe had put together, some CDs and packages and DVDs, etc. We got kicked out of the restaurant finally after two and a half hours, then we took to the City Walk. A mean security guy forced Bert to turn off his stereo so naturally when we were out of earshot we turned it back on, bumping MC. We went into Sam Goody and rearranged CDs to cover all the other CDs on the rack and took a picture while some other lambs bought CDs and import singles.

Then a lot of people had to leave, and there was only 7 people left, so we chilled outside and shared psychotic lamb stories of meeting Mariah, chasing down her tour bus to LAX and our concert experiences. Finally we had to head home, some of us had long drives ahead of us, but it was a day I'll never forget. I made some new friends and got to know some old friends a little better. Happy birthday Mariah and thanks Joe for his hard work and effort. We had a great time.
