Mariah's charm offensive
Mariah Carey is threatening to fire her business manager after losing money on tour.
The world's biggest-selling female artist is reportedly furious after her US Charmbracelet
tour ended up costing her money. Venues were downsized from arenas due to slow sales
and re-branded "Intimate Evenings", and fans were invited to chose the setlists through
mariahcarey.com.
Following disappointing sales of the "Charmbracelet" album and poor reviews for her
acting efforts, Carey has already relieved her spokeswoman and agents of their duties.
An insider claimed the singer is "rying to reinvent herself and needs fresh blood".
With the aid of Jennifer Lopez' former manager, Benny Medina, Carey is planning a comeback
and has been writing and recording new material for her eight studio album with Kanye West.
Medina says that they are confident they can recoup the losses: "We're booking some corporate
dates to offset the negative balance."
