Mariah Carey - latest album gets stuck

We hear all is not well in the world of Mariah Carey. Rumours emerged this week that the recording of the diva's new album is not going smoothly and she may have to redo it. According to Roger Freidman of Foxnews.com, the one-time diva had most of the album in the bag and planned to release it this autumn. But her boss at Island Def Jam, LA Reid, apparently didn't think much of it and the launch has been put back to next year.

Reported Freidman: "Carey is said to be shuttling between Capri, New York and Los Angeles as she records and re-records. I'm told junior A&R men at Island Def Jam were asked if they had any hip 'with it' material for the 35-year old chanteuse. "Mariah replaced long-time manger Jerry Blair with Benny Medina - the man who oversaw Jennifer Lopez's rise to fame, until she fired him during the Bennifer saga."
