Mariah glitters
Mariah Carey has been selected to star in the Columbia Pictures' film "All That Glitters". The film will be directed by Vondie Curtis-Hall. The movie is scheduled to start shooting on July 3rd. It revolves around an orphan girl who becomes a singing star and her boyfriend who can't deal with her success.
Carey's first role was a bit part in "The Bachelor" as an opera singer. Vondie Curtis-Hall directed "Gridlock'd", which starred Tupac Shakur. He was prominently featured on "Chicago Hope" and has appeared in numerous films including "Crooklyn", "Eve's Bayou", and "Don King: Only in America". The film is scheduled to be shot in New York and Canada. (Vibe)
