Still just friends
The deal between Jennifer Lopez and her former manager, Benny Medina, is off. The two had announced their renewed partnership last week, but an insider says: "It was a handshake deal, but when it came down to signing contracts on Friday, they decided to remain friends."
Part of the problem, a spy said, was Medina's contract with another client, Mariah Carey. Carey has feuded publicly with Lopez for years since she accused La Lopez of ripping off one of her songs. Lopez will remain with partner Simon Fields. Many credit Medina with making Lopez, and she was hoping he'd help her new album, "Rebirth". (New York Post)
