Presale party in Amsterdam
Tonight at 8 pm, The Emancipation Of Mimi saw its Dutch premiere at Fame Records in Amsterdam, thanks to Universal Music and the Dutch Mariah Carey Association. Over 100 fans gathered together to listen to the album and to have a chance to win several It's Like That promos.
At 9 pm, the cash points opened and the fans were able to buy the normal CD and the deluxe limited edition, which includes a fold-out poster. Only 750 copies of the limited edition are available in the Netherlands and Fame Music had laid their hands on 100 copies.
After Japan, where fans could get the new album a few hours before the Dutch fans, the Netherlands was the second country were The Emancipation Of Mimi was released. Fans from most countries will be able to buy the album within a few days, but fans from the USA will have to wait another fortnight.
