Mariah's musical fantasy

Mariah Carey will have to keep these corking curves under cover in her next big showbiz project an all action musical. The sexy singer, famous for her diva demands, is keen to follow the likes of Elton John, Boy George and The Pet Shop Boys into the lucrative world of West End shows.

Mariah, 35, is penning a musical based on her 1994 hit album Merry Christmas. The New Yorker believes the mixture of festive fun and her fine features will be too much for Broadway goers to resists - and she wants to bring the show to the UK once it has become established.

But the scantily clad songstress will have to cover up to ensure the show is family fare. She said: "I'm such a festive and I love Christmas. I'm so over the top with it. This is perfect for me. I get to live out my Christmas fantasies vicariously through the show. I think it's going to be something families can go to see."

Mariah, who has been linked to Formula One racing boss Flavio Briatore, is on the comeback trail with the release of her new album The Emancipation of Mimi. The first single form the album has already hit the top five, and her next track, We Belong Together, is primed for a June 13 release.
