"Mimi" hits 1,000,000
According to Hits Daily Double, "The Emancipation of Mimi" sells an incredible
amount of 195,929 copies this week which brings the album's sales total to over
one million copies in only four weeks. This is Mariah's 3rd straight week at #2,
falling behind a strong debut from Nine Inch Nails whose album "With Teeth" sells
over 270,000 copies this week.
Although the official sales for the album will be determined by SoundScan, Hits
Daily Double is regarded to as a good and almost accurate measurement. The SoundScan
figures apply to the Billboard charts and will be released later this week.
