Carey, Nine Inch Nails set for MTV awards
Mariah Carey will perform at the 2005 MTV Movie Awards, joining Eminem and Nine Inch Nails to complete the lineup. Hosted by Jimmy Fallon, the 14th annual awards show will air June 9 (8:30 p.m. ET). The ceremony will be taped June 4 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
Tom Cruise, Samuel L. Jackson and Rob Schneider have been added to the list of presenters, which also includes Katie Holmes, Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Simpson and Johnny Knoxville, MTV announced this week. "Kill Bill: Vol. 2", "The Incredibles", "Spider-Man 2", "Ray" and "Napoleon Dynamite" are the nominees for best movie. Other categories include best male and best female performances, best fight, best kiss and best frightened performance.
Nominees were chosen through a national poll of MTV and MTV2 viewers. Winners will be decided by viewer voting by phone or online at MTV.com. (Las Vegas Sun)
