Mariah can't be stopped

Surprise, surprise. According to Hits Daily Double, Mariah is at number 3 for yet another week with "The emancipation of Mimi", selling an additional 174,837 copies (+2%). The new number 1 is Audioslave's "Out of exile", selling 265,723 copies. The new number 2 is Common with "Be", selling 188,757 copies.
Last week's number 1, System Of A Down with "Mezmerize", is at number 4, and last week's number 2, Toby Keith with "Honkeytonk university", is at number 5. The Gorillaz with "Demon days" is new at number 6.
For yet another week, Mariah remains in the top 3. After debuting at number 1, she was the number 2 for three weeks and is now at number 3 for the third week. Who could ever think that "The emancipation of Mimi" would be such a success?
Although the official sales for the album will be determined by SoundScan, Hits Daily Double is regarded to as a good and almost accurate measurement. The SoundScan figures apply to the Billboard charts and will be released later this week.
