Mariah & No. 1: "Together" again

Once again, Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together" sits on top of the Billboard Hot 100. The single has topped the chart for nine non-consecutive weeks, interrupted for one week for the chart-topping debut of Carrie Underwood's "Inside Your Heaven".

It also notches a 10th week on top of the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and its popularity is gaining in the newest media outlet for music: mobile phones. On Billboard's exclusive Hot Ringtones chart, the title dethrones 50 Cent's "Just a Lil Bit" after four weeks with a 4-1 jump.

But "Together" is showing some signs of slipping. It has not carried a bullet, signifying continued airplay and sales growth, since returning to No. 1 on the Hot 100 earlier this month. It also surrenders the top spot on the Pop 100 after three weeks in the lead to the Pussycat Dolls' "Don't Cha" featuring Busta Rhymes, which springs 4-1.

Nonetheless, Carey's bid for summer listening ubiquity is further expanded with "Shake It Off", which jumps 66-50 in its second week on the Hot 100. It also makes a 63-46 move on the Pop 100 and rises 54-42 on the R&B/Hip-Hop list.

In addition to its Pop 100 jump, the Dolls' "Don't Cha" is also up on the Hot 100, where it moves 4-3, but remains stuck behind Rihanna's "Pon de Replay", which holds steady at No. 2. On the Pop 100, "Replay" jumps 5-3, advances 33-24 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart and holds onto the Hot Digital Tracks chart's No. 1 post for a second straight week.

Singles seeing gains on multiple tallies are Missy Elliot's "Lose Control" featuring Ciara and Fat Man Scoop (Hot 100: 6-4; R&B/Hip-Hop: 9-4, Pop 100: 10-9), Bow Wow's "Let Me Hold You" featuring Omarion (Hot 100 8-5, R&B/Hip-Hop: 2-2; Pop 100: 36-27) and Ludacris' "Pimpin' All Over the World" featuring Bobby Valentino (Hot 100: 12-9; R&B/Hip-Hop 5-5; Pop 100: 38-33).

Other tracks making notable moves this week on the Hot 100 include Gorillaz' "Feel Good Inc." (25-16), Natasha Bedingfield's "These Words" (48-30), Fall Out Boy's "Sugar, We're Goin' Down" (55-31), Gwen Stefani's "Cool" (50-35), Kanye West's "Diamonds From Sierra Leone" (69-43) and Jermaine Dupri's "Gotta Getcha" (75-60).

Bow Wow has the Hot 100's top debut with "Like You" featuring Ciara joining the ranks at No. 63. The cut is already streaming up the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs list, where it bolts 42-21 in its third week on the chart.

Other Hot 100 debuts are the All American Rejects' "Dirty Little Secret" (No. 87), Pretty Ricky's "Your Body" (No. 88), P$C's "I'm a King" featuring T.I. and Lil' Scrappy (No. 91), Charlie Wilson's "Charlie Last Name: Wilson" (No. 92), Montgomery Gentry's "Something To Be Proud Of" (No. 96), Trisha Yearwood's "Georgia Rain" (No. 97), Green Day's "Wake Me Up When September Ends" (No. 98) and Craig Morgan's "Redneck Yacht Club" (No. 100).

For a third week in a row, Toby Keith's "As Good As I Once Was" tops Billboard's Hot Country Songs list, while Shakira's "La Tortura" featuring Alejandro Sanz is No. 1 for an eighth non-consecutive week on the Hot Latin Songs chart. On the Mainstream and Modern Rock airplay charts, Foo Fighters' "Best of You" remains in the lead for a second and fourth week, respectively.

Finally, after a one-week break, Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway" retakes the lead on the Adult Contemporary airplay chart, marking its 21st non-consecutive week on top. The 2-1 rebound, swapping places with Michael Buble's "Home", puts the song in a tie with Celine Dion's "A New Day Has Come" as the longest-running AC chart-topper by a female artist and second all time behind Uncle Kracker's "Drift Away" featuring Dobie Gray (28 weeks).
