Truth or tabloid?
The report: The Globe (April 25) reports that Mariah Carey insisted on having a manicure and pedicure before being rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital for a bad case of food poisoning.
The truth: Carey's publicist says that Carey had hoped to perform that night despite her illness, and so a manicurist was called up to the hotel room to help pull herself together. Only later in the evening did the singer decide to cancel her performance and head to the hospital for treatment. (In Style magazine)
